>> My name is Keith Urgo. I'm the associate head coach of men's basketball here at Penn State. My responsibilities range from essentially managing the entire staff. My job is to make the head coach's life as easy as possible, specifically throughout the season to handle any of the admin, administration stuff for, take care of the team, control the managers, manage the staff, so on and so forth, so he can concentrate solely on basketball. I also direct recruiting efforts between our other two assistant coaches. Pretty much anything you can think of that might involve a major basketball operation that's part of my job and my responsibilities. If you're the assistant coach that's working directly on the opponent, it's a little bit different than if you're not. For instance, I currently have Ohio State. My responsibility is to try to dissect and become the head coach of the other team, which is Thad Matta. So I'll watch anywhere from nine to eleven games of Ohio State and break down each and every film that I watch, try to break down every, probably their top nine players, every tendency they might have, every offense of set, defense of set, end of game situation, so on and so forth. And try to prepare our team accordingly. It's constantly. It never stops because you're always recruiting as well. Because recruiting is pretty much the most important piece. I mean, coaches can do what they can, it's not the x's and o's. It's the Jimmy and the Joe's. That's the cliche you use, but the reality is players are what, you know, win or lose ballgames, not necessarily coaches. Yeah, I have to constantly be recruiting.
